Genesis
In 2006, the group of friends from Hamirpur (U.P.), met for social work. As the revelries subsided, one of the things that emerged from the reunion was the recurrent desire to do something socially meaningful. Thus was born JMBUT � reflecting both the desire to make a positive impact and the mutual linkages of the friends.
The registered society chose as its primary focus on the education of rural children from socially and economically disadvantaged sections of society. There are many gaps in economic progress and many social causes that beg immediate support in a country like India. But perhaps none are as compelling as the lack of literacy and lack of social status among large numbers of boy & girl child.
Vision
The vision of JMBUT is to transform the lives of entire communities in India by the education and empowerment of the poor & helpless children.
Mission
Our mission is to motivate non-school children, between the ages of 6 and 15 & for 15+ offering high-quality teaching through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode from economically and socially backward rural areas of Bundelkhand, and put them firmly on the track of literacy through quality primary education.
Objectives
1. Increase access and encourage enrolment to basic primary education, through community mobilization, for all children.
2. Make education joyful & encourage for extracurricular activity in field of entertainment world.
3. Help transform the community
4. Provide high quality relevant education through JMBUT learning centers
5. .Encourage and enable each girl to become an independent thinker and self learner.
